AIEEE The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India and Department of Secondary & Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in acquiescence with the directives of the Government of India (GOI) for the aspirants seeking admission to Engineering, Architecture, Planning and Pharmacy degree courses in diverse engineering colleges and institutions in India.
Students opting for B.Tech are tested in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. Students opting for B.Arch are tested in Mathematics and an Aptitude test. It is usually held at the end of April and results are announced at the end of May. Candidates are ranked on an All India basis and also according to their state. Thus, they have an All India Rank (AIR) and a state rank. A central analysis structure is offered for filling up the accessible seats all over India. AFMC The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, was recognized in 1948 for Post Graduate Courses. A graduate wing for MBBS Course was started in AFMC on 4Aug 1962 with the endeavor of instructing medical graduates into the Armed Forces Medical Services. The AFMC is associated to Pune University and is acknowledged by the Medical Council of India. With the development of Maharashtra University of Health Science, this college will be affiliated to it for the batches. The duration of MBBS Course is 4 ½ years followed by indispensable rotating internship training of one year. CAT:The Common Admission Test (CAT) to the six IIMs is also the doorway assessment for few other top B-Schools such as SP Jain, MICA, and TA Pai. CAT tests your skills in five broad areas viz. Verbal ability and reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative skills, Data Interpretation and Analytical and Logical reasoning. The test comprised 90 questions divided into 3 sections, over the years, the number of questions being asked in CAT has been decreasing steadily. CAT 2001, CAT 2002 and CAT 2003 had only 150 questions each and these 150 questions were divided into three sections of 50 questions each. The period of the test is of 120 minutes. This factually translates to answering a CAT question in 48 seconds. Most triumphant candidates do not attempt anything more than 120 plus questions. And quite a lot of them attempt between 70 and 90 marks worth of questions.
