COMEDK PGET  Comedk conduct entrance test for Medical and Dental Post Graduate courses called 'COMEDK PGET', for candidates seeking admission to Post Graduate courses in Medical and Dental studies. The entrance test is being conducted for use by COMEDK Member Institutions only. The COMEDK entrance test is mandatory for candidates seeking admissions for the Post Graduate courses in Member Institutions. The COMEDK PGET test scores are valid only for admissions during the academic every year
 
 
 
 
 
Eligibility    

Degree / Diploma Programs: Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI. Accordingly, they should have successfully passed their M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. from an institute recognised by MCI / DCI, and must have completed / completing their internship by 30/04/06.
MCI / DCI Norms: Every student, selected for admission to the Post Graduate medical / dental course in any of the medical / dental institutions in the country, shall possess recognized M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India, or any of the State Medical / Dental Council or should obtain the same with in one month from the date of the admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for the registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate training restricted to the college / institute to which the applicant is admitted for the time being exclusively for Post Graduate studies; Provided further, that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subjected to the condition that such person is duly registered as medical practitioner in his own country from which the applicant has obtained his / her basic medical / dental qualification and that his / her degree is recognized by the corresponding medical Council or concerned authority.

As per the regulations of statutory bodies, as laid out in Post Graduate Regulation 2000 of Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate Courses shall be 50 percent for general category candidates and 40 percent for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.

Rank list will be prepared only for those students who are qualified / eligible for admission to Post Graduate Courses as per the Medical Council of India as well as Dental Council of India Regulations

 
 
 
PROCEDURE FOR REGISTERING OPTIONS : Issue of Application forms
Receiving of completed Application forms at the COMEDK office.
Application Kits can be obtained by paying a Non-Refundable fee by way of a Demand Draft for Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred Only), drawn in favour of "COMEDK  ”, payable at Bangalore. Application Kits can be availed by any of the following means:
Apply online at the COMEDK website .Visit our website http://www.comedk.org , for details and procedure. Online applicants will receive their copy of the brochure along with their Test Admission Ticket.
In person, at listed COMEDK member institutions. or By post/in person from COMEDK office.
